Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026
Your privacy is the reason 9byte exists. This policy explains what we do — and don't — collect when you use our service.
No-logs, by design
We do not monitor, record or store the websites you visit, the content of your traffic, your DNS queries, or your real IP address while connected. Your online activity stays yours.
What we do store
To operate the service and enforce subscriptions, we keep a minimal set of account information:
- Your account username and subscription details (plan, expiry, data allowance).
- Aggregate data usage totals, used only to enforce your plan's limits.
- Basic device identifiers for the devices you sign in with, so we can enforce device limits and let you manage your sessions.
What we do NOT store
- Browsing history or visited websites.
- The content of your network traffic.
- DNS lookups tied to your identity.
- Your originating IP address while you are connected.
Encryption
All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted using modern, secure protocols so it cannot be read in transit.
Third parties
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We only share data where strictly required to operate the service (for example, with your reseller for subscription management).
Data retention
Account information is retained for as long as your account is active. When an account is deleted, associated personal data is removed from our active systems.
Your choices
You can sign out devices from inside the app at any time, and request account deletion through your reseller or our support channel.
